About Event

We are pleased to welcome popular Scottish crime writer Karen Campbell to Cullen Library, on Thursday 15th March 2018, at 7pm.

 

Well known for her first four novels featuring Sgt. Anna Cameron, her next novel, This is Where I Am (2013), took a radically different turn, featuring a Somali asylum-seeker newly arrived in Glasgow.  Her latest novel, Rise, also breaks away from the expected format.  

Karen has won many awards, including Best New Scottish Writer at the Scottish Variety Awards;and a 2010 Scottish Summer Read award for After the Fire.  Shadowplaywas shortlisted for the 2010 CWA Gold Dagger Award; and This Is Where I Am was a recent BBC Radio 4 Book at Bedtime.
