19:00 - 20:00
Milne's Learning Centre (Fochabers Library), Milne's High School, West Street
Join author Bruce Keith, at Fochabers Library, for an illustrated talk on his new book 'Bridgescapes'.
A year after the opening of the new Queensferry Crossing across the Forth, Mr Keith will talk about how bridges represent significant engineering achievements, as well as and forming part of Scotland’s cultural, historic and landscape heritage.
The book celebrates the contribution that Scottish engineers have made to bridges around the globe. And will include plenty of local examples!
He will also speak about his experience as a writer, and the challenges and opportunities it presented.
The talk will take place at Milne’s Learning Centre (Fochabers Library), on Thursday 6th September at 7pm. It should last around an hour, and is free of charge – although signed copies of the book will be available for sale afterwards.
